The A2C supports Factry, the school of creativity sciences

 

Montreal, May 24, 2016 – Today, as part of C2 Montréal, marks the official launch of Factry – Montreal’s school of creativity sciences. The Association of Creative Communications Agencies (A2C) is proud to be a founding member of this project.

 

“Creativity is a major vector of change in our society. Creativity is a key asset for future leaders. And creativity can be learned. We are thrilled that key players such as the A2C are mobilizing to support this important project for Quebec’s creative economy,” said Philippe Meunier, principal founder of Factry, Director of Creation and Senior Partner at Sid Lee.

 

Factry’s goal is to respond to the rising challenge of providing continuous development for professionals in creative industries and stimulate the next generation of leaders to ensure that Quebec’s creative economy continues to grow.

 

“Investing in Quebec’s creative and strategic talents is essential to keep the marketing and communications industry growing. This is a project that has been in development for the past two years at the A2C and we are proud to have played a key role in Factry’s creation,” said Dominique Villeneuve, General Manager of the A2C, one of the founding members of Factry.

 

The first continuous development classes for professionals will be offered in the fall of 2016 at the Quartier de l’innovation. They will be creative workshops designed to find solutions to collective or business challenges that affect several disciplines. Factry stands out thanks to its transdisciplinary approach, an innovative teaching method, and its connection to various industries as well as the business world. Factry will also contribute to training the next generation of leaders, by collaborating with renowned college and university institutions.
